PT Sumber Segara Primadaya’s High-Achieving Scholarship Program is an annual initiative that is consistently implemented as a form of recognition for high-achieving students, as well as an effort to foster a greater passion for learning and enhance students’ competitiveness. This program targets high-achieving students in the supported areas as well as the children of workers in the vicinity of the Cilacap Power Plant, ranging from elementary school (SD) to university (PT) levels, including those with both academic and non-academic achievements. The program aims to support the improvement of educational quality in the supported areas and among workers’ families.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the number of scholarship recipients increased compared to the previous year. In 2025, there were 387 recipients, while in 2026, the number rose to 433 students. This increase demonstrates that the company’s commitment to supporting community education has contributed to the growing number of high-achieving students. The breakdown of scholarship recipients in 2026 by educational level is as follows: 202 elementary school students, 142 junior high school students, 52 high school students, and 37 college students.

As a token of appreciation, this year PT Sumber Segara Primadaya awarded a total of Rp432,500,000 in educational funds to scholarship recipients. The amount of the scholarship is adjusted according to the level of education, namely: elementary school (SD) at Rp750,000, junior high school (SMP) at Rp1,000,000, senior high school (SMA) at Rp1,250,000, and college at Rp2,000,000. This assistance is expected to alleviate educational expenses while motivating students to continue excelling.

Specifically for high school scholarship recipients, the company also organized a capacity-building program through an educational seminar titled “Strategies for Successfully Entering Your Favorite University,” held on May 2, 2026, at the S2P Tower Ballroom from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM WIB.

Through this seminar, participants are equipped with the motivation to maximize their potential, understand how to guide and control themselves in achieving their future, and gain the perspective that continuing their education to college is not something to be feared. Participants are also introduced to various strategies for obtaining college scholarships.

The benefits of this scholarship program are also felt directly by the parents of the recipients. Maya Puspita, the parent of Bian Bintang Pratama, a student at SMP Negeri 2 Kesugihan, expressed her gratitude for the program, which has been running continuously. “I hope it continues every year. I am very happy and grateful for this kind of assistance because it really helps us as parents,” she said. According to her, the scholarship funds have been used to meet various educational needs for her child, such as school uniforms, shoes, and other learning support needs.

This initiative serves as tangible proof of PT Sumber Segara Primadaya’s commitment to advancing educational capacity, while also reflecting the company’s spirit of growing together with the community through the High-Achieving Scholarship CSR Program.
